Age Distribution of Search Interest
Share of the relative search-interest index, averaged per band across the firms reporting that band, then expressed as a share of the total. Band coverage differs: . Firms without an observation for a band are excluded from it rather than counted as zero.
The 35-44 age band represents the largest measured share of search interest at —%, followed by 25-34 at —%. The 55-64 band accounts for —% and 45-54 for —%, but the two rest on very different observation counts, so their relative order should not be read as a finding.
Demographics by Region
Age and gender profile of measured search interest by region. "Peak age" is the age band with the largest measured search-interest share in that region. Shares are calculated within the four bands shown (18–54).
Africa and Europe show the largest 35-44 shares, the peak band in most regions. Gender shares are close across all regions. Regional differences describe search audiences, not the age or gender of traders in those regions.
Demand by Primary Language Market
Derived from country-level measured search volume. Countries are grouped by PTC-assigned primary language for market analysis. This does not measure the language used in individual searches. The eleven language markets shown together account for 99.9% of measured demand across the classified countries in this vintage.
Based on PTC's tracked universe of 19 countries with volume data (Austria and Switzerland are shown within the German market but carry no volume yet), representing ~81% of estimated global prop trading search demand. Each country is assigned to exactly one primary language market; the model does not allocate a single country across multiple languages, so groups such as Urdu/Hindi and English are market labels rather than observed query languages. Countries with several widely used languages (e.g. SG, PH) are assigned by dominant search language. Derived from independently observed country-level search-demand signals, June 2026 vintage.
About this data — sources, cohorts and aggregation
What is measured. All figures on this page derive from search-interest demographics supplied by a third-party search-trend analytics provider. The provider estimates the age and gender profile of the audience searching prop-trading terms and brand names. These are estimated search-audience characteristics, not verified demographics of prop-firm customers, challenge buyers, funded traders or payout recipients. No account, KYC or payout record informs these numbers.
Cohorts. Coverage differs by module and is not forced onto a shared denominator.
Missing observations. A firm without an observation for a given band or for gender is excluded from that calculation. Missing values are never read as zero and are never back-filled, substituted or modelled.
Regional aggregation. Regional figures are a derived aggregation: firm-level search-interest indices are grouped by region and averaged, then shown as shares within the bands displayed. "Peak age" means the age band with the largest measured search-interest share in that region — not the age of any trader population.
Language markets. Language shares are derived, not measured. Each country is assigned one PTC primary language market, and the country's entire measured demand is allocated to that single group. The system does not support splitting one country across several languages, and it does not observe the language used in individual searches. Countries where several languages are widely used — India and Pakistan are both assigned to the Urdu/Hindi market — are therefore represented by a single label that understates internal linguistic diversity, including English-language searching.
Provenance. Firm-level and country-level search demand is observed source data. Gender shares, age shares, regional profiles and language-market shares are all derived from that measured input.
